Coach quick-start

A simple field guide for calm, fun, productive practices.

01

Explain less. Rep more.

Give one clear cue, demonstrate once, then get the balls moving. Stop briefly to reset only when most players need the same correction.

02

Keep lines short.

Use pairs, small groups, and extra stations. Aim for no more than three players waiting in any line.

03

Praise the process.

Name the effort you want repeated: “Great ready position,” “Way to move your feet,” or “I love that quick reset.”

04

Finish with fun.

End with a quick competition that uses the day’s skill. Keep score lightly, celebrate hustle, and stop while energy is high.
